What A Difference 3 Years Makes...A Trip Down Memory Lane.

*Warning*
Typos are inevitable. It's now 11:11pm and I've just finished this post. WAY too tired to go back and proof ;) Also, I could have added a twi-zillion more pics, but had to keep myself in check.

I was on Facebook earlier today and noticed that @Chye_lin had posted something about it being her Twi-versery. I learned that we'd both read Twilight around the same time, July of 2009. Then of course it got me thinking... I'm not sure of the exact date, but I think it was early to mid July. Back then, Comic-Con used to fall in late July, sometimes early August (I know this because I used to work in a hotel & it was a very busy time for us.) Anyways, I'd finished the books right before that & was so pissed when I found out that the cast had been just mere miles from my work.

Gah! So close.

Clearly I fell in love with the Cullen clan & the stars who portrayed them simultaneously.  I took to every day googling of the stars & quickly fell in love with Robsten. I also started stalking blogs like Twicrackaddict, which led me to Twitarded & LatchkeyWife - yes, before she joined those twatwaffles over at Twitarded, she had a super secret blog of her own...which might I add, was effing hilarious. Then I was onto MrsP & 17foreverlisa. Phew! I couldn't get enough of the fact that they all shared my crazy obsession.

I think this was how I found them ;)

Come November 2009, Sarah (aka ES, aka my Sister) and I took our first trip up to LA to see Jackson play with his band 100 Monkeys. Let's just say that Sarah had quite the crush on Mr. Rathbone. And what followed was 9 maybe 10 shows total in the span of less than 2 years.

November 2009 - 1st show at the Viper Room in LA

August 2011 - Last (?) show at the HOB here in San Diego

Of course we also celebrated the much anticipated New Moon in November of 09' (insert the premiere & a 100 Monkeys show here)...can't forget that!

What's a party without cupcakes :)

Then 2010 rolled in.

Of course Sarah & I rang in the new year with Rob!

Come February 2010, I turned Dirty 30 & was riding the Twilight/Rob/Robsten wave like Kelly Slater. I was in the prime of my obsession...

Dear Wine, I miss you.

March through May were also filled with more 100 Monkeys concerts, outdoor Twilight marathons/celeb appearances & of course June was not only the release of Eclipse, but my first Twilight Convention! There was no Twilight cast at Comic Con in July of that year (2010), so I didn't feel totally left out. If I remember correctly, and with the help of google, Eclipse came out in June, so they had nothing to promote at Comic Con in July. *Just checked again and yes, I'm right. Geez, always doubting myself.

August was of course another 100 Monkeys concert. I'll never forget the following morning... we were literally still high from the release of Eclipse, seeing Mr. Battlescars once again & definitely possibly hungover, when look who sat next to us at breakfast that day:

Yup, David Slade himself. It was a sign.

Come the end of September, beginning of October 2010, I took a life changing trip to Fooooorks, thanks to those lovely Twitards.

Forks 2010, aka the ORIGINAL Forks trip.
with @CullenaryCurser, @WalkwithMrsP, @JennyJerkface, @SnarkierThanYou, @TwiloveSue &  @17foreverlisa
<3

Another thing that helped spawn this post was finding a white envelop titled Fooooorks 2010, with a map of WA & these inside.

*must enlarge, I'm neurotic as you can see*

Gah! But hey, I drove from Seatac to Forks by myself...and back (with a stop at Escala with @17foreverlisa of course)...pretty proud!

After returning from Forks (literally the day after I got home) I interviewed for a corporate event sales/operations position with a very small events company in downtown...and I got the job!!! After 10 years of being a Concierge....

Then in December of 2010, this FINALLY happened:

DG proposed to me on the beach on a rainy afternoon, right before X-Mas.

Between then and the wedding, I experienced more 100 Monkeys concerts, visits from Twi-friends, saw Rob on Kimmel live, Comic Con 2011 (kinda...I visited my friends.)

Bonus, meeting Ashley!

Sniff. Last Show.

@LuvsMeSumEdward, @Jaymes805, @AmanadaMelby, Me

Visiting @17foreverlisa & @Twilove Sue as they camp out for the BD panel at Comic Con 2011.

I was super excited to see @Jaymes805 & @Twikiwi.

And the end to that amazing Summer...and while most of my Twi-friends were partying it up in Forks for installment #2, I married DG...after 7 years together!

9/30/11

But that's not it....Breaking Dawn part 1 was coming out! Yup, after a wonderful honeymoon, I went to another Twilight convention in LA. Not only did I get to see Rob(sten) again, I also got to see many old friends as well as finally meet others I'd only ever talked to via twitter & email. I wish I could find the pics, but they are MIA right now.

Of course BD part 1 didn't disappoint & it only fueled the fire for BD part 2 anticipation/excitement. But gah, a whole year to wait?!?

Fortunately, I have been able to keep my mind occupied for the most part....

With this:

Hi Baby G :) - 18 Weeks

24 weeks

Yes, quite the distraction, but a pleasant one at that :)

I'm now 26 weeks pregnant & awaiting a late September/early October arrival of Baby G.  It's so crazy to see this timeline:

Sept 29th-Oct 2nd of 2010 was FOOOOOOORKS
Sept 29th - Oct 2nd of 2011 was my Wedding Weekend
And baby G is due to arrive (if he/she behaves)  September 25th-October 4th of 2012

WOW.

What a difference 3 years makes.

Thanks for reading and or scrolling....I know, it ended up being a lot longer than I'd intended.

YAWN. This chick is headed to bed.

Love you all.

XOXO J
