100 Monkeys Coming To A Town Near You!?

Oh, hi Jax.

Mmmm Mr. MOS at the HOB in San Diego last August. Yum.

The follow article was copy and pasted from HERE.

The OFFICIAL press release for the Liquid Zoo album and tour!April 11th, 2011

100 Monkeys are escaping from the Zoo…the Liquid Zoo on June 28th.

100 Monkeys, known for their raucous theatrical live-sets where they switch instruments and vocalists nearly every other song, will be swinging your way soon and with a new album. The highly anticipated, “Liquid Zoo,” the band’s second studio full-length recording, will be hitting stores across the country on June 28th. The band struck a deal with Warrior Records/Universal Music Distribution to release the album to the masses and 100 Monkeys’ fans will be very pleased to know that it is well worth the wait.

Coinciding with the “Liquid Zoo” album release, 100 Monkeys kicks off a 40+ city US tour in conjunction with House of Blues Entertainment. The tour opens in in Cincinnati on June 28 and will also include dates in Dallas, Anaheim, Detroit, Chicago, San Francisco and other major cities. The band which has also been selected as one of LG’s “One’s to watch” this summer are more than excited about the upcoming tour and album. They promise the biggest and best tour yet and of course the usual surprises along the way that only 100 Monkeys can deliver. The band logged a quick eight day tour over the winter holiday playing to sold out venues in several cities across the southern U.S. and they are more than eager to get back to what they love…playing for their fans.

“100 Monkeys is an innovative, exciting young band and we are looking forward to working with them,” said Tara Traub, Club and Theater Touring, House of Blues Entertainment. “This is part of our continuing commitment showcasing emerging artists and their music in the unique House of Blues environment.”

With a unique sound all their own, “Liquid Zoo” promises and delivers innovative music in a way that only 100 Monkeys can. The album consists of 11 songs including the highly requested, “Shy Water,” and “Black Diamond,” which are among the solid track listing, along with at least one new song that the band has never performed live in any form. “Wandering Minds,” the first single released off the “Liquid Zoo” album has already started to play on radio stations across the country.

100 Monkeys is a band described by SPIN.com as “funk rock” and by RollingStone.com as “tribal sounds with vocals recalling Jim Morrison’s baritone croon.” Beyond Race Magazine says they are “sing-along-worthy, sometimes bluesy” and MTV.com describes the band as a mix of “Iggy Pop with the Raconteurs.”

100 Monkeys, however, jest that their music is purely “onomatopoetic, but for the sake of simplicity, we’ll call it funky rock-n-roll.” This quintet of multi-instrumentalists is comprised of multi-faceted artists, actors, and producers including Jackson Rathbone (who appears in such movies as “The Last Airbender” and the “Twilight” motion picture franchise), Ben Graupner (Trapped in the 5150, Devolved), Jerad Anderson (Wayne/Lauren Film Company), Lawrence Abrams (of the great Willie Bobo, Bob Hope U.S.O. tour, and The Artist Consortium), and Ben Johnson (of the Stevedores and music producer of Spencer Bell’s “Brain”).

With a set list that never repeats twice and a band that truly knows how to put on their own rock show, you won’t want to miss 100 Monkeys on tour this summer. Plans for international tour dates are being scheduled for fall and winter, so check out 100MonkeysMusic.com for further album, touring updates, and all other important news from the band.

So Elusive S & I already have our tickets secured for the May 21st LA Show, which is pre-Liquid Zoo. However, we will for sure be going to the San Diego show come August 28th.  They played the House of Blues this past summer & it was pretty sweet. We're hoping from San Francisco, they stop in LA before heading to Anaheim, nothing like an LA Show...and preferrably the Viper Room. We'll see, the dates prior to Anaheim ore TBD. Squeeee!

See if they're coming to a town near you!!!

They are an awesome band, and seeing Jackson live is just the icing on the cake. Trust.

I'm Just A Fan.

Dear Kristen,
We've never actually met.  I've seen you from afar, once at the New Moon Premiere and again at the Eclipse Convention. But of course, you have no idea who I am. Simply put, I'm just a fan.

I'm tempted to gush about how amazing I think you are.  But who am I to say? You could be a really rotten bitch and I'd have no clue, because again, I don't know you personally. But I do know this:

*You're SMART. Some people make fun of you for stuttering, for fidgeting...I think this is all due to the fact that you're super nervous of how you'll be perceived. And, you have so much to say and are so intelligent, that your mind almost goes too fast for your mouth....when you're nervous of course.

*You're GRATEFUL.  Despite the intensity of us crazy Twitards, you still remain appreciative of your fan base. I'm sure it's got to be pretty damn scary at times, chased by the paps and rabid fans screaming your name. If it was me, they'd have a whole hell of a lot more pics of me flilpping the bird.

*You're BEAUTIFUL. This goes without saying.  You have a very unique, innocent meets edgy look about you that I have never witnessed. You're one of a kind!

In normal circumstances I'd assume you'd be out at a bar drinking legally for the first time, but I'm sure that's old hat to you.  Seriously, I hope you enjoy every minute of it.

P.S. An immense THANK YOU for bringing Bella to life. I'm soooo excited to see you as a Vamp, finally!
xo Jen...just a fan.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MS. KRISTEN!

And a couple of cute vids!

This one is cute too & explains the Oscar *cough*.

Hope you enjoyed my little KStew tribute. Here's to all the haters : ) In good fun, of course!

Beautifully Colorblind

My Robsten bloggy bestie LISA, shared this beautiful video with me & a few others this morning. All I can is WOW.  Even if you don't care about Robsten's status, I think you'll find this tugs at the heart strings.

I fell in love with this song while watching Cruel Intentions with Reese Witherspoon & Ryan Phillipe, way back when.  It's just ones of those songs, depressing as it may be, that when set to the right scene... resonates deep within.

I'm Seeing Rob On Kimmel. I Think.

No lie folks, I got 2 tickets to see Rob on Kimmel.

At first, I was confused. However my confusion quickly escalated to something along the lines of this...

Holy Shit Balls!

It all started when I got an email thread from kiTT with a link for tickets to see Rob on Kimmel Wednesday April 20th. I figured it was a long shot, but clicked on it anyway. I'd tried to get tickets last year, thus had already signed up for www.1iota.com, it's the website where they give away Kimmel, George Lopez and various other talk show tickets. Basically the shows use 1iota to fill seats. Hard to believe they'd need seat fillers for a show featuring Rob...but I'm not going to question it. So I signed on and searched for the April 20th show. Much to my surprise it wasn't blinking sold out. That said, I nonchalantly requested two tickets. Within in seconds the status changed to PRIORITY and their was a little linky to print my priority tickets. Um...what? I think I reverted back to confused. Could this be some kind of cruel joke? I had cramps, felt crappy and was NOT into the mood for cruel jokes earlier today. I clicked the linky and up came some tickets. I printed them out right away & bolted towards the printer, for fear they'd disintegrate.

After some research, I learned that their are different levels of ticket, and priority is the best. It's still not 100% guaranteed you'll get it. Gah! Talk about stressful. I just emailed my boss to see if she's cool if I take a half day. I was schedule to take one this Friday since I'm working an event on a Sunday (super rare)...so I'm hoping I can trade half day. I'm really hoping she'll just tell me to take the day off. We'll see. I have only been there 6 mos and it's just her and I. She's VERY cool, so my gut feeling is she'll say yes to the half day for sure.

Oh & by the way, @TwiloveSue got tix too!
We are so lucky!

I hope it all works out....

This was the show I tried to get tickets for.

I guess I was being greedy considering I'd just been to the Eclipse Convention in LA with the Twifecta. Rumor has it, that MIGHT be doing a convention like that for Breaking Dawn promotions. GAH!

Are You Fooooorks Bound?

As quite a few of you know, I can't make it to Forks this year becase I'm getting married that same exact weekend. Go figure.  However, I feel so blessed that I was able to go and experience the trip of a life time back in 2010.

So if you're going, how about

getting your hands on one of these babies!?

I Hate To Say It, But....

Rob's WFE press conference pics don't do it for me like they usually do....or at least how I anticipated they would.  I love his hair. It's matured back to more of an "Edward-esque do" vs that "WFE do" that did nothing for me. Sure, Rob does it for me...but that hair was NOT good. Sorry, but we all have differences of opinion.

Maaaaybe Rob was exhausted this day. We all know he's ridiculously pale because of BD filming...but there is just something that doesn't seem right. Hmm, is it because KStew isn't with him for moral support? I dunno, but whatever it is...gah!

HOLD UP...WAIT A MINUTE!

*YES I JUST NOTICED SOMETHING WHILE LOOKING FOR MORE PICS & Needless to say, it threw my post for a loop*

Ok, this is going to sound utterly ridiculous, but I just found another 3 pages of photos that are WAAAAYYYYY better than the shit I first saw. Was someone fucking with me?

Let me share the goods:

Side note: blogger is yet again being an asshole w/ the allignment of my text.
 I said "middle" m*ther f*cker.

                                                             Mmmm, you sexy thing.

                                                                     Gah! Finger porn.

                                                             Love me some serious Rob.

"NEVER, lay a finger on her again!"

And here's those cute ones with Tai or is it Thai?

Hope you enjoyed!

Rob, Reese & Some Country Sh*t.

Rob, Reese & some country music.  Two of those 3 things I love....

.....COUNTRY MUSIC AINT ONE OF THEM.

Ok, I don't HATE it per se.  I actually like Shania Twain, Taylor Swift, Lady Antebellum & Faith Hill. Sure, I know some of those singers weren't even at the awards, but hey, I'm just showing you that I'm not completely close-minded.

Moing on...WOWZA, Rob & Reese looked amazing.

I absolutely adore Reese Witherspoon. She is my blonde idol. If my hair could be that shade of blonde, and look natural, I'd die happy. And back to what's important...Rob, le sigh. He's just so damn adorkable.

Speaking of adorkable ADORABLE:

Awwwwwwww!

Jax, The Naughty Boy.

Oh Jax, you're such a naughty boy!

There is something about this guy that just whispers....

"I will give you the best oral sex lick of your life."

Just sayin.

Hint: It's actually a fan pic from Squamish recently...a little girl was lucky enough to finally meet him. Too cute!
