Tent City & The County Fair!

First things first, I must grab your attention:

On to tents....One of our dear twitter friends Twilove1, aka Sue, is up in LA camping out for the official Eclipse Premiere! She & FKat (Linda) and their daughters all have wristbands guaranteeing them access to watch the stars arrive and walk the red carpet! Elusive S & I were there last year for the New Moon premiere, but did not camp out...therefor we did not get wristbands. We still got great views of all the limos pulling up, so no complaints.

Sue has been doing a great job of keeping us all up to date via twitter & emails. Here are a few of her pics. It's so fun living vicariously through her! Though I'm not sure I could do with that much lack of sleep. She's a trooper!

On another note, today is my Friday. I can't tell you how relieved I am. It's just been one of those sh*tty weeks. I don't know what's been up the asses of our guests, but it's something retched.

I'm looking forward to possibly laying out at the beach tomorrow, that's if the sun cooperates :) Friday I'm going to the Del Mar Fair (county fair) with my Mom. The fair has had the same stuff every year since I was kid, but it's tradition. Plus I'm looking forward to trying out some of the new fair food...if you can even call it that.

Deep Fried Klondike Bar , Deep Fried Pop Tart, and Beef Kabob.

Funnel Cake on a Stick
Deep Fried Butter
Buffalo Chicken Fry Bread
Sweet Potato Fry Dog and Hash Brown Fry Dog (hot dog dipped in batter, then in hash browns or sweet potato and deep fried).
Sparkley Peen on a stick (just seeing if you're paying attention)

Ice Cream S'mores
Chocolate Dipped Pickles
Pickle Corn Dog

I usually don't eat fried food, so I'm sure my intestines will hate me with a passion come Friday night. I talk a big game though, I'm sure after the first fried thing I'll be "over it."

Rob Says Penis & Sperm.

This video of Rob was taken during the Eclipse press junket a little over a week ago. There were so many of these vids posted all over the place & I wasn't sure which ones to watch. I stumbled across this one today and had to share it. You can see how exhausted Rob is (this is how he was at the convention in LA.) Within the first minute he says something about exhaustion & feeling as though you don't have a penis. LMAO! The rest of the interview is interesting to watch because he's trying to be methodical & think the answers through to the same old mundane question about Eclipse and about his life. You can see him struggling. Poor guy. I have no idea how they do it. I know it's their job, but I would probably go postal on some of the interviewers.





Also, LKW posted an interview today (if you can call it that, the interviewer is gawd awful) with Billy Burke. JJ get's a nod. She's FAMOUS! Sweet. Read the post & see the vid here.

In case you have been living under a rock or had Eclipse tunnel vision, Remember Me comes out on DVD today! What I'm unsure about is....I thought DVD's were available for rent prior to being available for purchase...am I wrong? Cause I hadn't heard it was at the video store. Nor does it seem to be an option to rent through my Cox On Demand cable this evening...wtf? They said 6/22 it would be available. Might have to raise hell with the cable company...that or I'm missing something, which could be the case. I'd like to watch it, considering I only saw it once in the theater.

This is probably one of the only posts I will ever do that has no direct relation to Twilight.

You know how us women tend to beat ourselves up sometimes? These jeans make my thighs look huge, I hate my stomach, my hair looks awful, I wish my legs were longer, my nose is too big...I know I'm guilty of beating myself up at times. This video was posted on facebook and I beg that you watch it. Please do me a favor and watch it only when you can take a moment to yourself, not a hurried skim-thru during a quick break. Although this mans story is inspiring, what gets me is how passionate he is about inspiring others.

Am I a selfish b*tch?

Um, not when it comes to doing Twilighty stuff.

Let me explain. I have a friend that I haven't seen in a couple years. She lives here in my town, but we sort of fell out of touch. We have been saying that we should get together forever, but our schedules are so different. Anyways, she saw something I had posted on Facebook the other day about the "Twilight Nights" outdoor movie viewing event here in San Diego. She commented that she wasn't a fan, but that it might be fun to go with me. Of course I'd love to see her, but um....NO. I get into a Twi-zone & that is something that only Twi-minded people would "get."

For instance, this year for Eclipse ES & I are going to have our own little Eclipse slumber party with our Mom prior to seeing the movie the next morning (GASP! Nope, I'm NOT going to the midnight showing. Am I kicked out of the club?) Last year for New Moon I invited my bestie and ES invited hers to our NM slumber party & movie viewing. Both girls had read the books and enjoyed them...but that's it. Don't get me wrong, we had a blast...but by the afternoon, after we'd seen NM, I sort of felt like they were getting sick of my squeeeing about the movie. Side note- My Mom is hardly a twi-tard, but she's in the club by default. ;)

It's not that I don't want to expose people to Twilight, believe me, I'm a pusher. But my Twi-obsession is a sacred virtue. I don't ever want to feel as though I have to limit my Twitardedness at Twi-events. Oh, and guess what?! Twilove01 is coming with me to the Twilight Nights event! ES can only go for a bit, as she already has tickets to a concert. Luckily I'll have Twilove01 there with me so we can be Twitarded together. Twitards unite!

Goodbye Fifty. Until we meet again...

So it's over. I finished MOTU. Since Lisa already wrote a great post when she finished it, I'm not even going to try. I'll just say this...READ IT.

I was so apprehensive about reading any ff's that used the names Bella Swan & Edward Cullen, outside of the context of Twilight. As a hardcore skeptic, believe me when I say that you get over it. You find your groove so to speak.

This was "Bella Swan," to me.

This was Fifty, aka Edward Cullen, to me.
Glorious.

I might as well admit that during some of the lemons, I pictured a different body for Fifty...NOT saying Rob has a bad body at all, but for some reason I could only see his face. The body was different...tan, muscular & defined.

Anyhoo, I'm sad that's it's over...but pleased with the direction it went. Of course I want more, don't we all? But sometimes things are better left as is. That is all.
