I warn you that this post isn't going to be funny, or the least bit creative. Got it? Good.

Today I had the most relaxing Saturday....and thus I'm SUPER mellow. That said, Friday night I met up with some fellow Twitarards for an evening of Bobby Long. I had seen him before & knew he had an amazing voice, worth experiencing more than once.

I have to apologize to everyone for being so pooped, it was such a long week at work! Nonetheless, I had a great time, and it was awesome to finally meet @VampiresWeLove.

On a completely different note, thank you to @Double_Dippin @Dangrdafne @musingbella & @17foreverlisa for coming up with the idea of a virtual wedding shower! I am absolutely blown away at the idea that you'd do this for me?!? Someone in the Twidom might also be having a virtual Baby Shower too, but I don't want to out them...even though it's been on twitter. P.S. it's *NOT ME!*

This Twi-dom means the WORLD to me...I cannot say thank you enough. You all rock.

100 Monkeys In Tha Motha Effin' Houuuse!

Often times when I warn you I wont be posting much, I end posting much more. It's like Murphy's law or something. Truth be told I am super busy @ work and have had 2 11 hour days because of events...BUT posting becomes therapeutic to me & I end up doing it more, not less. Interessssting....

You know what else is therapeutic...a 100 Monkeys Show!!!!!!!

Thanks to @Jaymes805, I was promptly made aware that they're bringing their sweet asses back to LA on February 19th. Crazy as it is, I had just checked their website about 30 min before, and no new shows were posted! All of a sudden BANG, it was there. Looks as though Jackson is taking a mini-LA break between Baton Rouge & Vancouver. Lucky us :)

You best believe I bought our tix in a flash.....however later in the evening, much to my utter horror, I realized their were NO hotel rooms available in or around West Hollywood for that night. The cute little Ramada Plaza W. Hollywood where we usually try to stay (because of it's walking distance to the Viper Room/Roxy etc) was $235 not including taxes and fees. The most we ever paid was $150 and that was me being stupid with my credit card. Some of the more upscale hotels such as the Mondrian is going for $850! Jackson you're hawt...hawt as all hell, but I'm sorry...I can't drop that much to be within a block of the venue.

*Side note: This is all going on because of some stooooopid NBA allstars thing that weekend.

Soooo....at my wits end, I called this particular Comfort Inn (accross from a Best Western we once stayed at in a pinch) and the guy said he had one room left for $79....I'LLTAKE IT! It's in the heart of dirrty Hollywood near the Hollywood Bowl. About 3 100 Monkeys LA Concerts ago, we stayed in that area and spent $25 trying to get to W. Hollywood in a cab. The cab driver got stuck in some sort of crazy Hollywood Blvd Christmas Parade traffic and it took a good 25 minutes.

This is the shit storm our cab ran into.

Long story short, it should only cost about $15 to get there. Believe me for us, it's worth it. We like to drink & NOT DRIVE.

Anyhoo, rumor has it those Borderline Phenomenal girls will be coming, as well as @ZAnyMouse, aka Zina...poor @TwiloveSue will be OUT OF TOWN. Booo, BUT she went to the last show I missed...so it evens out right? JK Sue, we'll miss you! Oh, and let us not forget @LuvsMeSumEdward might come too!

Woohoo! ES and I plan to have breakfast again at the place where we met David Slade...and do a little shopping/celeb stalking in W. Hollywood :) Hey, we went into Bristol Farms for "water" and ran into Kate Walsh from Greys/Private Practice!

Ok...I'm way to excited. I thought my birthday week/weekend was going to suck because work is soo busy, but this makes up for it!

P.S. IF Jackson has a break from the BD set, before heading to Vancouver, I can't help but wonder if Rob might too?!? SQUEEEEE! Rob stalk 2011!

David is an event planner to the celebs, not to mention an author and wedding planner extraordinaire. I stumbled across a show he currently hosts, called "My Fair Wedding w/ David Tutera." I'm not normally into wedding shows, but admittedly got sucked into this a couple of weeks ago when of course their was nothing else on. The shows premise is basically Extreme Home Makeover, but with a bride and her wedding, 3 weeks prior. I swear to you that this guy has secret access to these brides brains. Not only is he talented, but he's so genuinely NICE to the brides.

It's like Adam Lambert & Simon Cowl had a beautiful child.

Mauricio is Kyle Richards husband. Kyle is on the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills & happens to be the Aunt of a pretentious and skanky socialite...I wont even waist space mentioning her name. Getting to the point, Mauricio treats Kyle so sweetly and seems to be an amazing Dad. The clincher was when he took his shirt off (google him) YUMMY.

Thinking About Going To Forks? READ THIS 1st!

FOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORKS!

Hi lovely ladies! I can't tell you how many times I have typed or said, "FOOOOOOOORKS!!!" Even though I can't make it this second time around, due to my own damn wedding *sniff*...Yah, I know, my weeding is important. I was actually shooting for late Oct or early Nov, but the venue I chose was booked and I went with a Friday...Sept 30th to be exact. Clearly I lost my mind for a second when I agreed to that date. JK, I really wasn't thinking about that at that moment....However, once I realized I was going to miss Foooorks Round Two, I was relieved I wouldn't miss out on Breaking Dawn Premiere Camping. Thank Gawd.

Anyhoo, did you miss Foooooorks 2010? Are you hoping to venture out for Fooooorks 2011? Maybe you did go to Forks 10', but getting there was a cluster fuck? Well, READ THIS:

Who am I kidding, this isn't going to be all official or anything. I just wanted to offer up my services (she said that) to anyone who might want to pick my brain.

Here's my quick story:
I flew from San Diego to Seattle, rented a car and drove by myself to Fooooorks. Prior to the trip I did ALOT of research. Probably way more than is considered sane. But that's just me, I'm a planner. I don't need to have details of a vacation planned, but I sure as hell need to know how I'm getting there. Sooo, I opted for the NON-FERRY route. After much consideration, it seemed the better option for me. With ferries, you risk missing them, or getting caught up in traffic trying to catch them (rare, but a possibility,) plus they cost $. Not taking the ferry doesn't mean you won't hit traffic...but I arrived at 9:40am, so I knew I'd be ok.

Long story short, I asked around, even called the Forks Motel. They thought I would be lucky to make it in 5 hours...You see, I was trying to make it to my 3 pm Twi Tour...and was not due to arrive at SeaTac until aboutl 9:30am. This had me nervous! Google promised I'd make it in 3 hours and 24 minutes... and I wanted to believe it. A few locals thought I was nuts...ok MOST thought I was nuts. Guess what folks? I made it to Forks in 3 hours and 30 minutes. It's an easy, smooth & scenic drive. I loved every minute of it. Maybe the anticipation of meeting all my besties had my adrenaline on overload...but it was a blast. The trickiest part is driving from Port Angeles to Forks...it's about 35 minutes of a super long and windy road around a lake. Think car commercials ;) But by the time you hit Port Angeles, you'll be on such a high anyways.

Anyhoo, I did it, loved it, and totally would recommend it. With that said: If anyone has any questions or just wants to pick my brain, either ask in the comments, or email me if it's more involved. I'd be HAPPY to help guide you or just offer advice. Did I mentioned Lisa and I made a stop in Seattle on our last day...we HAD to see ESCALA! *MOTU!!!* So feel free to ask about that too! I'm here to help.
