It Smells Like a Freakin' Egg Roll....

First of all, may I point out that as I went to create this post, I realized that the last time I posted was exactly 1 year and 1 day ago. FREAKY DEAKY! That means Charlie was 6.5 months. What the what?! No way. He's now 18 mos. But we can talk about that later. This was just posted today by a friend on Facebook and I'm LMFAO DYING. Not sure how old it is, but it's not one of the vids I have seen before.

Jacob: "Can you train a pig?"

Edward: "To do what?"

Jacob: "Like harm my Grandpa..... & Grandmama..."

Edward: "Uh, you're looking for an assassin pig?!"

For some stupid reason it won't let me imbed it. So go HERE to check it out. I promise you won't be disappointed.

Comic Con 2012!

Can you believe it?! I know this will sound super cliche'd, but it truly feels like JUST YESTERDAY that I was walking from my office down to the convention center to visit friends in line for the BD panel. Where does time go?! I also remember finding out I was pregnant back in late January & calculating that I'd be starting my 7th month come Comic Con. LMAO! Random that I thought that, but hey.

This time around, I still don't have tickets. Trust me, I tried, 3 separate times. But strangely, I'm ok with it. I wouldn't be able to take time off during the week to go anyways, thus camping would be outta the question. But despite this, I'm still ridiculously excited. The buzz that surrounds this immediate downtown area of San Diego is phenomenal. The people watching is AMAZING. And, just knowing that I'll be in proximity of so many of my favorite celebs is pretty damn exciting. To top it off, some of you are actually staying at the Hard Rock Hotel (which is Twilight/True Blood & other celeb central)...so I won't feel totally stalkerish hanging out there. "Uh, what Mr. Security?! I'm just visiting so & so in room 452." ;) You people better give up your room #'s so I can throw it out with a name if need be. I'm mainly kidding. The Hard Rock was super chill last year and never said anything to me or anyone around. I was pretty much the only one not sporting a badge, but for all they knew I was just a random guest. Plus since it is directly across the street from the sdcc (us San Diegan's use this acronym for the san diego convention center, not just comic con) it's pretty chaotic.

HR Hotel in the background with entrance to the Gaslamp Quarter. Crowds walking toward Convention Center.

Can you feel the buzz? Smell the BO? YUP....you will encounter this. Sadly some people don't carry an extra stick of deodorant around. *Shudders* I definitely recommend it.

Speaking of recommendations. Last year and again this year, Twifans.com has posted some helpful hints for enjoying your Comic Con experience. And like last year, I'd like to add my two cents. I know I haven't stepped foot in the convention center for CC, but I do live here...

Here's what they had to say. My thoughts in red.

1.  Hotel- You should have got this long ago (AMEN!) but if you haven't start looking in the surrounding areas like the harbor or Coronado.  Even if you have to stay 10-15 minutes away to get a good priced deal, it's worth it.  We just reserved a room last week.  They are harder to find, but still out there.  We found that websites said sold out, but that they still had a room here or there. They exist, but they'll hike up the price like no bodies business because they know they're in demand. Feel like a $500 hotel night? Plus the ones that do have room are typically at least 30 min outside of downtown.

2.  Line buddies are essential for a good experience in line. Line buddies can be the people in your group or friends you make on either side of you in line.  Line etiquette:  Make sure to let everyone around you know how many friends are in your group and if it's more than just a few, people may not be happy.  Best bet is to all go at the same time.  Security will get very strict about adding additional friends to the line. Wonder how they feel about preggos hanging out and visiting their friends? ;) No one seemed to mind last year.

3.  Overnight -Being comfortable in line is different to everyone.  We saw lots of yoga mats, fold-able chairs, and cots.  Most importantly don't take up more than the width and length of your body.  You will be on grass so there is some cushion.  Some people made it through the night sleeping on a beach towel.  I used an Edward fleece blanket and was fine for overnight, but this is right next to the water in the bay and it does get cooler at night.  Be prepared. No joke. It can be 82 in the sun & you're sweating your ass off next to some dude dressed as Yoda, but once the sun goes down and you're sitting on the grass dreaming of Rob, you'll freeze your ass off. The cold air coming off of San Diego Bay can be chilly! Watch us have a crazy heatwave & absolutely no wind. Oh well, like Twifans said, better to be prepared.

4.  Shade & Sunblock- Once you are under the Hall H tents you will be mostly out of the sun unless you fall into the rare few that get a spot between shade tents.  With the new rules saying no beach umbrellas, I would bring a rain umbrella just in case.  It's small and easy to carry.  Sunblock is also a must! I can't stress this enough. We're on the water and that acts like a super magnet to the sun. Most out of towners burn to a a crisp within minutes. It's even worse when it's overcast and not very sunny. Sounds odd, but it's true. Trust a white girl.

5.  Snacks & water - whether you are waiting outside or holding onto your coveted seat inside, having a few snacks and a beverage is helpful.  There are concessions available for purchase if you are flush with $$$, but for better choices and convenience, bring a few of your own.  If you are flying in, not to worry.  There is a Ralph's grocery store a short walk from the Convention Center on the corner of 1st & G St.  It is also important to stay hydrated when you are out waiting in the sun.
~You can also find a Rite Aid drug store on 6th & Market (a bit closer.)
~And there is a place called Cinnecafe between 4th & 5t on K St. behind Rockin' Baja Lobster...they are like a huge mini-mart with lots of snacks, juice, soda, water etc...

6.  Bug spray-There are very large water bugs/roaches (THEY ARE HUGE & YES, THEY ARE COCKROACHES!) that came out of the planters at night. I will be spraying the ground all around me before setting up my area.  If everyone does it, maybe we will be safe from the creatures!  Last year we saw less, but if your food is not sealed the ants with show up in full force.
~We also have LOTS of homeless people out and about. It may seem that we have more than most places, but it's just because  shelters close Spring-early Fall so they have no where to go.

7.  Notebook & pen-It's fun to exchange your TwiFans profile address, cell phone numbers, and Facebook pages with each other to keep touch once you have made friends.  This is where Kim and I met for the very first time.  Aww Comic-Con memories....Also handy for any random celebs you see walking by..."May I have your autograph?" ;)
*Seriously, if anyone has any questions about the area (public transport, restaurants, directions, store/attraction locations etc... please fee free to email me sotwired@gmail.com, I'd be happy to help*

Can't wait to see you all next week!

Oh and how can I NOT post my favorite moment of last years SDCC?!

PS I work downtown as you know, and have a small comic con event for Warner Bros. at a Gallery on Fifth Ave...I just have to check in on it Wed & Thurs night. Other than that...I plan to hopefully meet up with some of you! Oh and Saturday I'm driving back downtown to hang out...how could I not?!? (Plus I only live 10 min away)

Eeek!

So Much Cuteness, I Just Can't Take It!

This morning I watched the livestream of Robsten's  Rob, Kristen & Taylor's hand/footprint ceremony at Grauman's Chinese Theater in Hollywood.

Needless to say I have had a very unproductive first half of my work day. Oh well, these things don't happen every day.  These next couple of weeks are going to be trouble for me. Sure, I'm going to the convention, but I know I'll be glued to twitter/other blogs up until BD1 comes out. I feel that there's more excitement in the air about BD1, vs Eclipse...is it just me?

Anyhoo, onto the pics I snagged from here

Pssst, they aren't in chronological order....and it's stressing me out a bit, but I'm too lazy and trying to get this posted asap ;)

The sun was in their eyes the entire time, poor kids.

This is classic & I'm totally LMAO at the look on Rob's face.  So cute that KStew grabbed their hands.
She seemed very excited, overwhelmed & at one point even looked at Taylor and mouthed "I'm shaking!"

This pic has me thinking all about Robsten ff. Just sayin'.

Woohoo! So very cool.

I'd pay to be Kristen's hand.

Love.

I <3 Robsten.

Did you guys watch? What did you think?

Off to TRY and get some work done.

Countdown With The Count!

The Cullen's aren't the only friendly Vamps around...

Seeing as Count von Count LOVES to count, I decided to let him take over the blog for a brief PSA:

Gooooood eeeeeevening ladies,
did you realize that it's only 100 more days until.........

Breaking Dawn Part 1!

Time really flies when you're having fun, or just losing your effing mind super ass busy.  Guess what other factoid The Count just reminded me of?

51 more days untiiilllll your wedddding Jen!

Thanks Count ...I really appreciate the reminder. Guess I'm beating Bella to the alter...sans schmexy brooding Vamp.  Now can we go back to talking about Breaking Dawn? K thanks.

So, I'm clearly super excited for BD. I'm also thrilled that they divided it into two movies. Sure, it's going to be a pain in the ass when Bella opens her blood red eyes & they cut to the credits, but hey, at least it gives us Twitards something to look forward to! Right?!

How do you feel about it? Are you *gasp*over it? Or have you made a paper chain to countdown the days?

Forget Kids!

So for those of you that may not know, ES works at a vet clinic as a tech. She started as a receptions about 8 years ago, working her way up to head receptionist ,and then evetually vet tech. Recently someone brought a pregnant cat into the clinic, who'd sustained a head injury. The guy who was feeding her accidentally slammed her head in the door.  She ended up being ok, thank gawd & the clinic decided to keep her as their "clinic cat," as they have done with a few other wayward felines. Addie, as they named her, eventually gave birth to 8 adorable kittens.  I went to visit them yesterday, as ES had been trying to get me to do since they were born.  They're only 13 days old and as you can imagine, just precious.  And Addie is just such a sweetheart, rubbing up against me seemingly unphased by her sleeping kittens.

All 8. Some on top of one another.

He/She (?) was the largest. I'd name it Emmett :)

This one is "Milk Drunk." It was one of the 1st to eat & finish...

This one was the smallest, I'd call her Alice.

Just precious.

I grew up always having a cat & a dog, but had always considered myself much more of a dog peson.  But since I have been living in apartments & condo's, I just couldn't justify getting a dog. It will happen one day! But in the mean time, I feel as though I might have become more of a cat person, much to my dismay.  In fact, if I was crazy & single, I might just adopt all 8 of those kittens and name them....

Edward, Bella, Jasper, Alice, Emmet, Rosalie, Carlisle & Esme!

I might have to swap out a name and add in Charlie or Renee, should the sexes be off, but hey...wouldn't that be so freakin' cute!?! Forget kids, I want a harem of kittens named after Twilight characters!

Don't Be A Bitch

January 26th, 2010 ES & I created a post called Twired Sista's Rules. Essentially it was a list of things you shouldn't do (faux pas if you will) at a 100 Monkeys concert. These rules were created based upon our personal observations/encounters.

That said, that post should have been taken with a grain of salt ;) However this post should be taken seriously....for the most part.

ES's mantra.

I kid.

Back in November of 2009, ES & I went to our FIRST 100 Monkeys show, and our second shortly after that in December. So far to date, we have been to......let us count, shall we?

1. Viper Room LA
2. Viper Room LA
3. SOMA San Diego
4. Viper Room LA
5. HOB San Diego
6. Viper Room LA
7. Roxy LA
8. HAVE TIX FOR EL REY THEATRE IN LA ON MAY 21st!!!
9. HAVE TIX FOR HOB SAN DIEGO IN AUG!!!

Through these shows, we have definitely seen a progression of sorts. The first show where we met Jackson was our second Viper Room show. He went to hang by the bar once it was over and we politely asked the Bananager if we could get a picture with him.  He was super polite, charming & overall seemed flattered. That night the girls seems respectful and no one crowded him  The second time we met him, he skipped out of the Viper Room pretty fast with his band to pack up and avoid the increasingly large group of girls waiting by the stage exit. He snuck out somehow and we happened to be at the right place at the right time & got a pic with him in the old child molester looking Monkey Van. I guess no one knew he was in there...  The third time, also at the Viper Room, he had tons and tons of girls asking for pics & crowding around him at the bar. He obliged and took pics, but you could tell it was getting a bit overwhelming.  I must mention that the Viper Room is one of those venues where the only way they can get off stage is to walk by fans....great for us, a possible pain in the ass for them.  After that, I vowed not to ask for anymore pictures.

"Stick around after, let's party!"

I'm sure you're wondering why I'm rambling.....admittedly I am & there is no way to make a smooth transition here....that, or my brian is fried from work. I'm thinking it's the latter. I "heard" that the crowd at the 100 Monkeys show in NYC  the other night, was being a bit ornery.  Apparently girls weren't letting other girls get back to their place after going to the bathroom, and some were asking for pics with Jackson before the show & wouldn't take no for an answer.  I also got wind of some "crazy Twi fans" screaming out "Jasper!"  Really?!?! It's people like that that ruin it for the rest of us. I imagine the majority of us are Twi fans, some crazier than others...but just becasue you're obsessed doesn't mean you can't keep that shit in check.  I'm the first to admit he gives me that tingly feeling and I get all giddy and ridiculous when he first walks on stage, but it's Jackson with his band, NOT JASPER. And no matter how much you want to beg him to say "Excuse me Ma'am" or "Battlescars"...please don't.  And to top it off, the entire band ROCKS. Each and everyone of those guys is super talented & tons of fun on & off stage.

As for US... THE FANS, we're in this TOGETHER (unless of course you're wearing Mom jeans, or get so drunk you start crying cause the bounger won't let you back in...)  Do you have to give snooty looks, or not let people back to their place?  Let's be KIND to each other.

Don't Be A Bitch!

Read The Rules, and we won't be a bitch either ;)

Kidding.

Sort of.

Speaking of the entire band being super cool, here are some pics we may or may not have posted in the past.  We still need one with Ben J!

Ben G is a cutie!

Jerad is smokin' hot & super cool.

WAIT FOR IT..............

ES & Munkle!!!!!!!!
He's so charming.

Can't wait till 5.21 @ the El Rey theatre in LA!

P.S. Remember, don't be a bitch!

Yo Vamp-Playa!

The first 2 minutes are pretty effing funny. I had to share!

But that is soooo NOT Edward Cullen's voice!!! If I remember correctly the real Edward Cullen doesn't sound like he's on drugs....some may beg to differ. It is however, Steven Moyer's voice. Either that, or the dude does a f8ck awesome job of sounding JUST LIKE BILL.

"Soooookie!"

Contest, Kind Of.

So I guess this is kind of a contest, but not really. But it kind of is.....Ok, what I'm trying to say is, that this isn't a contest where you'll win anything per se.... other than recognition on Twired. That's cool, right? Anyhoo......

I need a new twitter background!

@AmyJoon was kind enough to make my first one, because she knew just how much I adored KStew. Thanks Amy! I have had it for almost a year!

Don't get me wrong, I adore KStew even more now, but if possible, I'd like to incorporate more Robsten/Bellward. I'd like a mix of both if possible. I really like Black & White. Hint hint.

So, with all that said, if you're willing to mess around with a possible background idea, because my computer can't do fancy for shit, I'd really love to see what you've got. I'll post the possible options and choose my fave.

Here are some of my favorite Robsten/Bellward pics:

*cough, MORE HINTS, cough*

I'd love to see your ideas! Email me?

Apparently it's Twired's Anniversary.

Yup, that's right. It's been 1 freakin' year since I typed my first post. And, can you believe it happens to fall on the day before the Eclipse DVD release?!? Woah....cue the TWILIGHT zone music ;) Ok ok, I have known it was coming, but these last few days I have had my head up my ass....working like a mad woman...it slipped my mind today. I suck.

Anyhoo, what does one do when they absentmindedly forget their bloggy anniversary? Originally I was going to chat about my plans for tomorrow night...and lack of plans tonight, and how uber jealous I am of Lisa & Mama_Cougar for getting to spend not 1, but 2 nights together! Geeeez. Ok, maybe I'll still whine about that, but I'll save it till later...

With that said I'm not going to bore you with my old posts. If you want to read them, feel free to peruse my archives. For now, I'm just going to post a shi*t-load of memorable pics :)

LKW rocks. Edward is not so sure.

AND THE ICING ON THE TWILIGHT ADVENTURE CAKE THAT YOU HAVE PROBABLY SEEN A TWIZILLION TIMES:

:)

Hope you enjoyed my little photo collection. Looking back to the NM DVD release, I just curled up on the couch with Sista' last March...we didn't do anything out of the ordinary. It seems we like to party the night before the movie releases, and curl up cozy when they come out on DVD. Truth be told I would have loved to have shared this with my CA girls @amandamelby, @Jaymes805 or @charlahicks Boo :( I also would have loved to plan a surprise trip to IL to meet up with MC & Lisa...word on the street is MC's parties are EPIC. There really are so many of you'd I'd love to share this with.....but, we always have FOOOOOOORKS ;)

So, the plan for manana: I'm getting up mid morning and heading to Target to snag a copy of Eclipse! Tomorrow evening I'm heading over to my parents to watch it with my Sis, Mom & Dad. Surprisingly, my Dad is super excited, as he hasn't seen it yet. Sue invited me up to watch it Sunday night (I think)...but I have to go into work early on Monday morning...My boss is going out of town for a week and I will have a sh*tload to do to prepare.

I really hope us California Girls can meet up sooner rather than later.

Cheers to Eclipse Saturday! And cheers to all of you that have followed me this last year. I appreciate it more than you'll ever know. Each and everyone of you chicks are ridiculously cool. I love you.
Thank you from the bottom of my Robsten loving heart.

PS Stay tuned to hear about some kick ass mail I just received!
