I Managed To Meet Stephenie Meyer & Lose My Vagina, All Within 24 Hours!

I was in the shower this evening, thinking about the fact that close to this time last night I was about to meet Stephenie Meyer & most of the Twilight cast when I realized, SHIT, where's my vagina?!?  Oh, it's there alright, but how the hell am I supposed to keep it 'under control' when I can't even see it?! Gah! ES says I need to relinquish my fears and go get a wax, but I'm terrified. Though I do not, and I repeat do not, want to have one of those freaky ass hairy vag's while giving birth. I know, I know, Dr.s see all kinds.....but I'd like some neatness down there if you get my drift.

Moving on.....& back to the topic we all really want to talk about, Twilight at #SDCC2012! Again this year, I am badgeless, but that hasn't stopped my excitement. Working a few blocks from the convention center is really super convenient. I was able to take a walk down to the BD2 panel line outside of Hall H on Tuesday & visit long lost friends.

It was so great to see these girls (and more) again. Feels like it was just yesterday. Anyhoo, it was pretty common knowledge that the Twilight cast would probably be visiting the line sometime around 9pm on Wednesday evening. I asked around to see if anyone would mind if I "hung out"...even though I'm not camping & don't have badges. Everyone encouraged me too, but I had my doubts. I was worried I'd be too tired after work and not make it until 9pm. Well I was feeling pretty good yesterday & planned to play it by ear. Once my event was over, I still felt pretty good and said what the hell.  To kill time, I hung out in the HR lobby for about 35 minutes. At one point I noticed this guy walk by and look back at my shirt and smile..it took a second, but I realized it was Paul Mc Donald. then he leaned in to tell Nikki about it. I could clearly see him mouth the details, but they were starting to walk away and I was too nervous to run after them. Plus I would have looked like a freak. For the record, I made a shirt that said "Lil' Nudger." I *think* that's how Bella referred to Renesmee when she was in her belly at some point in the BD book.

As I was getting up to head over across the street to the convention center, I get a tweet from @mandysmind to get over to the line NOW. So I rushed & got there just in time. Sure enough about 10 minutes later the cast showed up. I was torn as to if I should have them sign my shirt, or the poster they gave out, I decided the shirt & my belly might get more reaction. And it did!

I could cry. If it wasn't for this woman, I would have never had ES 

shove the books at me, there would have never been the Twlight Saga movies, 

I would have never started reading blogs, started a blog, found Twitarded, gone to Forks, or met all of you. It's been life changing & I have her to thank for an amazing 3 years.

I'm sure @Twilovesue & others will have MUCH MORE detailed posts, but I'm pooped.  Some things to note...PFach was there, but seemed not as into it as everyone else. I got him to sign my belly really quick, which he thought was funny, even asked if it was movie prop. Think he was trying to joke. I didn't bother to ask for a picture. Angela Sarafyan, aka Tia, was probably the most talkative and sweetest out of everyone. I can't say enough about her. Just a doll. She wrote "to baby with love" and drew little hearts. Forgot to ask her for a pic. There were other Amazon & Denali Coven peeps there too, but if I couldn't remember who they were I didn't ask for a pic. Was afraid I'd call them by the wrong name or something LOL. Oh and Ashley Greene was there of course. Her 'handlers' said no pictures (the only ones that said no.) I asked if she could sign my belly and the girl almost rolled her eyes and said no. So when Ashley got closer I said hello & thank you for coming, then mentioned that I didn't have anything for her to sign and knew she could sign my stomach. She said of course she could & so she did. Odd thing is, I can't find her autograph ANYWHERE. I think she signed in silver ink against my grey shirt vs grabbing the black sharpie I'd borrowed from @misstejota. Ohwell. I already have an awesome pic with her from a 100 Monkeys concert. She is a doll. Last but not least, Mackenzie Foy was so cute, very quiet, took a good 30 second to write out her long signature at the bottom my shirt. Felt odd asking her for a pic lol.

I think that's it. Sorry if I was kind of all over the place. Preggo brain is no joke folks!

Can't wait to catch up on the BD2 cast panel videos, as well as see what the rest of the weekend has in store. Hopefully work isn't too busy tomorrow!

The Kids Are Back In Town!

What town? VANCOUVER!!!!

Yes that's right folks, Robsten & others have arrived in Vancouver for BD part 2 re-shoots. What is it about the Twi-peeps being in Vancouver that gets my knickers in a twist?  Well....I guess it's the fact that I hadn't anticipated re-shoots & thought I'd never see them together filming for anything Twilight related again. It kinda gives me goosebumps.  And I'm certainly not worried that they're doing re-shoots.  I have the utmost confidence in Mr. Condon. As he said, a movie is put together like a puzzle and sometimes you realize you're missing a tiny piece. Ok, he didn't say it exactly like that, I was just paraphrasing. 

Anyhoo, onto a couple pics. They are pap pics, so I guess I'll just show a couple....so you get the idea ;)

Ash Buys Flowers On A Whim. I'm Jealous.

The lovely Ashley Greene was spotted doing a bit of grocery shopping at a Whole Foods in LA yesterday after a work out at the gym.

*Yes these are pap pics, but if you look at the other pics here, she seems very happy & not bothered*

It must be nice to just buy some flowers on a whim. That may sound silly, but I'm sure she didn't look at the price tag. In fact, do you ever really look at the price of grocery store items as a celeb? I guess it depends on your personality.  I could see Kristen totally looking to see how much something costs, but I'm not quite sure about Ashley.

I have always wondered...do celebs that are uber big (I'm talking Brad & Angelina status) monitor their own checking & savings accounts?  I'm sure they have multiple accounts, like one that is for every day items and one for big purchases, as well as a whole slew of investment accounts.  But for celebs like Ashley, who aren't there yet...I'm curious. 

I'm sure Rob has people that do all that stuff for him. I wonder if he even knows his worth at this point?

What are your thoughts on how celebs manage their finances?  Do you think it depends on how much your worth, or more so the type of person you are....down to earth despite your fame, or a bit removed from reality.

Memorial Day Weekend Wrap Up

Memorial Day Weekend isn't quite over yet...seeing as it's only 2pm here on the West Coast.  I'm not sure how your weekend weather was, but ours sucked big ass. It was grey and cool on Saturday, then cold & rainy on Sunday.  Today however is in the low to mid 70's and sunny, thank goodness! That said, you might be wondering why I'm blogging instead of outside soaking up some vitamin d...well, I had a little time to kill before heading over to my parents this afternoon for a BBQ & thought I'd see what I'd missed since ditching my lap top most of the weekend:

I Doubt She Uses Pantene.

Ashley was spotted at a Whole Foods today in LA. Looks like she's home for the weekend. I swear everytime I see her "out & about" she could easily be doing a Pantene commercial, though I doubt she uses Pantene.

Speaking of shampoo...The other day I noticed ES's hair & how aaaahmazing it looked [not that her hair doesn't normally look great.] So naturally I asked if she'd just had it done. She said no, with a bit of a bewildered look on her face....but then as if a light switch went off said, "But, I just bought a new shampoo! That's probably it." I later forgot about the conversation, but made a mental note to check out this new shampoo.

About a week or so later I noticed my Mom's hair looking fantastic. I asked her what she'd done different (forgetting about my Sister's hair.) She also had to think about it and then mentioned this new shampoo. Apparently my Mom & Sis both bought it because it's non-animal tested, sulfate free, silicone free etc...

Non-animal tested being the main reason. Soooooo, here it is:

Ahhhhmazing.

Sure it's for super frizzy damanged hair, but who doens't have that these days...what with flat irons, blowdryers, polution, hard water, etc....

I just bought it about a week and a half ago and love it. My hair has never been softer & smoother.

Total Eclipse of My Heart! (SPOILERS)

Sat afternoon I met ES at a smaller theater to see Eclipse for the 2nd time. I smuggled in some cheap champagne splits for us to share, and we giggled like school girls as we poured them over ice into graciously provided Pepsi cups for our "water" :) I believe most Twitards would agree that seeing the movie for the first time is similar to opening all of your presents on x-mas morning when you were a little kid. You rip through each present in a state of utter euphoria, barely able to focus on what's in front of you. You've anticipated x-mas morning for so long that when it finally happens, it's all a blur. Needless to say, seeing Eclipse for the second time allowed me to absorb it all a bit better. Speaking of....I think my panties were the ones doing all of the "absorbing." One word....ROBWARD.

Ok, I need to stay focused here. Without a doubt, Eclipse was my favorite book. It provided me with both the perfect mix of action & romance. I'll admit I had my doubts about David Slade. But he did a phenomenal job at bringing both the romance & the action to the big screen. He made it tangible. He blew me away. However, we can't have a Twilight Saga movie re-cap without making fun of some stuff now can we?

Stuff that bugged the shit out of me:

*Bella's wig in the opening meadow scene, when she's in FL w/ Renee & one other time that for the life of me I can't remember (could be the champagne...now not then.) Granted I was worried it would be bad the whole time, which it wasn't. BUT when it was bad, it was horrible. I mean really? Who the f*ck has a hairline like that?! And it was always changing...one day it was light brown and wavy, the next it was dark brown and plastered to her head. Seriously? Do people NOT notice these things when they're in "post-production?" People, HIRE ME...I can watch the movie before it comes out and tell you about all the stupid shit you're missing.

*Was that supposed to be FLORIDA? I know I am from CA, but that sure as hell didn't look like Florida. It looked like somewhere on the East Coast. Did I miss the palm trees?

*CHOP & CHANGE! I felt the beginning of the movie was kind of choppy. The first 3 or 4 scenes didn't flow. I have found that this has been the case with all of the Twilight movies thus far, which seems strange considering 3 different directors have given it a go.

*Riley...Aren't you supposed to be from FORRRRRRKS?! HEY DUDE...you let your Aussie accent slip through in the beginning. Just sayin'.

*Slumber party? Ok, even though I knew it wouldn't be in the movie, I was still disappointed that they left out the slumber party Alice attempts to throw for Bella the first time she is supposed to be "babysitting her" while Edward is hunting. You know the part in the book where she paints Bella's toes blood red & Esme orders in the best Italian from Port Angeles. I love that part because it's so awkward yet somehow so incredibly intimate. I also love how SM introduced THE BED for the first time. Bella's allowed to discover it on her own and makes the decision to sleep on the couch instead because she's stubborn and doesn't like the idea of people, particularly Edward, doing things for her. Needless to say I prefer the books version.

*Victoria. Ok....Bryce if you ever read this, I want you to know that I think you are so absolutely beautiful in person as well as extremely humble and sweet. OK?! Good.
This Victoria sucked. Unfortunately Bryce looks too sweet & wasn't intimidating enough as Victoria. It's not her fault. She spoke too softly & didn't have the cat-like qualities of Rachelle Lefevre. And by the way "wig people," Cher wants her hair back.

CHERTORIA?

On to the stuff that rocked:

*The opening meadow scene (despite the wig). Holy Robward HOTNESS!!!!!!!!! He looked amazing throughout the entire movie. FINALLY he looked like the Greek God SM described. Granted Rob always looks that way to me, but this was the best "Edward Cullen" make up/hair/eyes by far.

"Edward Cullen" looked the way they described him in the book.
Thank you DS. Finally.

*The WHOLE engagement and leg hitch was phenomenal. The make-out session was perfect. Bella was sexually frustrated yet totally unsure of herself, and you could feel that Edward wanted her just as bad. You could also feel him struggling with his morals. The dialogue was sexy yet awkward...and the way he proposed to her took my breath away. He looked so captivated by her...swoon!

*Swoooooon*

Um, was this an attempt at boob-grazing? I never saw this!
Maybe it was Robsten shenanigans that never made into the scene...

* When Bella is worried about Edward not feeling the same about her once she's been changed and he responds,"You'll always be my Bella." Then cracks a panty-melting smile. Swoon.

LOVE IT.

*The subtle & endearing moments between Alice & Jasper really got me. Like when they're gearing up for the fight...they share a couple of looks and Alice even steals a quick kiss. Did you notice the way they looked at each other? Anways.... Jasper's wig wasn't nearly as awful as I'd anticipated, based on the promotional photos. In fact, Jasper looked sexy. I'd say those flash backs scenes were pretty f*ckhawt too. Is it just me, or does his voice just melt you?

*Jacob. I will always be Team ROBWARD, however I'm not dead. He looked HAWT. Especially when he was standing by his car at the treaty line to pick up Bella. There I said it. Don't judge me.

Of course this is the only still I can find.
I really wouldn't refuse the opportunity to rub my hands up & down his abs.
Just sayin'.

*The graduation, though not the same as the book, (it lacked the sense of urgency as Edward finds out Bella's theory) was awesome. I even got a little choked up at the thought of Bella's reaction to Jessica's ironic speech & Charlies look of pride as she receives her diploma.

*The Vamps. Eclipse is the first movie where I really felt the Vampires were the most believable. I think they got the eyes right this time. Edwards go from golden when satiated to black when hungry just like in the books. They all look beautiful, yet intimidating at the same time. I was afraid DS would make them look too Zombie-like, and he didn't....thank gawd.

*Tent scene ROCKED! It's right up there with the engagement/leg hitch scene. The tent location was very much how I'd envisioned it & the dialogue was awesome. Once again, thank you DS.

*The final fight scene was INCREDIBLE. I had chills the entire time and cannot wait to see it in IMAX. I was also very impressed with the CGI work. The wolves were all so believable.

I feel like I'm missing quite a bit. Maybe I'll do another post once I have seen it a 3rd and 4th time... Though I will say that without a doubt, Eclipse is my favorite of the 3 so far. I will always have a soft spot for Twilight. It may not have been a stellar movie, but it's the first one that brought SM's visions to life outside of our own imaginations. And, it will always be like a security blanket to me.

Next up, Eclipse in IMAX! I can't wait. ES & I shall be seeing it sometime this week...for a 3rd time.

As you can see in the book, Jacob shows up at the school parking lot to confront Edward over the fact that Emmett crossed the treaty line in an attempt to chase off Victoria. Naturally, Paul attacked him for crossing the treaty line, & a wolf vs vamp fight ensued. Meanwhile, Victoria gets away. Bella has no idea about any of this because Edward whisks her off to Florida to visit Renee. Perfect timing Edward.

Reading back through it, (because you know it's been sitting on my bedside table for months) I realized that that brand new clip was significantly better than I originally thought. The only part that bugs is that Bella doesn't go jump onto Jake's bike and get whisked away into the mist. The principal breaks it up. Bella sneaks off on Jake's man-bike while Edward is off on a hunting trip. Right? Ugh, too exhausted to go back & flip through the pages AGAIN. However I now have a renewed sense of desire to finish re-reading Eclipes for the um..5th? time...

I AM SO EXCITED TO SEE THIS FREAKIN' MOVIE!!!
