Rare Australian birds & muscled up kids.

So my head is swimming. I knew the second that Eclipse promotions kicked off I'd be giddy with anticipation. Interviews and pictures are starting to pop up all over the place, mainly of Kristen & Taylor as they are in Sydney Australia at the moment. Rob (aka The Precious) is of course still in LA filming WFE.

Have you ever traveled to Australia? ES lived in Melbourne for a year or so awhile back. She's also traveled to Sydney, but much preferred Melbourne. It seems as though you either like one or the other. Speaking of Sydney, apparently they have these rare but beautiful birds that people love to take pictures of. They're practically incorrigible, but a hot commodity nonetheless.

Kristen Stewart was lucky enough to hold not 1, but 2 of these rare creatures!

Twilove1 saw 100 Monkeys AGAIN!

One of my twitter friends Sue, aka "@twilove1_sue" (who also happens to be from San Diego) went to see the lovely 100 Monkeys at the Roxy on Friday 5/28 with a couple partners in crime, ZAnyMouse, F-Kat & of course their Twi-daughters & their Twi-friends! As you all know, Elusive S & I have seen them 4 times, but unfortunately weren't able to go to this particular show. Sue has seen them several times as well, and was kind enough to share her pictures with us, as well as tell us a bit about the experience.

Here is her account of the evening:


"Here are some pictures of Jackson from Friday night's 100 Monkeys concert at the Roxy. After a 4 warm up band marathon (a few good and a few not so much), the Monkeys started at 11:15pm and played for over 2 hours. The crowd was much older and drunker than our other times and we were packed in pretty tightly, with lots of pushing up by the stage. But still, the show was fabulous! I wouldn't have thought it possible, but Jackson looks even hotter now.

It's hard to tell in the pictures, but his hair is a medium brown now and much shorter. He didn't wear sunglasses this time and made frequent eye contact with us, which was both thrilling and terrifying. I'm sure I looked like a deer caught in the headlights every time he looked my way. He was very charming (sooo ridiculously CHARMING! -jen) on stage and it was SO much fun watching him dance. The whole band looked like they were having a great time and the audience was super enthusiastic. There were so many people waiting around after wards and it was pretty late after they finished packing everything up, so they only walked by quickly to say hi before leaving and didn't do pictures or autographs. It was a super long night by the time we loaded up on caffeine, got gas & drove home (didn't get to back until 5am!), but totally worth it :)"

So I have to apologize for not having any fun/creative posts these past couple of nights. My allergies have been brutal. I have always had allergies off & on, but never really that bad. I take that back, at one point in my late teens I was prescribed Allegra...one of the side effects happened to be a lowered immune system. Low & behold that was the first & only time I contracted the flu. Luckily I haven't had a bad bout of allergies again, until now...11 years later!

Fortunately, Benadryl works like a charm against my itchy/watery eyes & sneezy nose!

Unfortunately, Benadryl pretty much makes me pass out. Drowsiness is an understatement. The back of the packaging says "marked drowsiness may occur." No shit. For me it should say "take 2 of these and before you know it you'll be slurring your words like a drunk, then passed out on the couch sitting up right with your mouth wide open."

Yup that was me last night, except my cat took the opportunity to crawl up on me and stick his ass in my face...I took 2 at about 7:45pm (i have been taking 1 when I have to work) and before I knew it I was being woken up by my s/o (cat still had his ass in my face) at 8:30pm telling me he had the bed all ready for me to crawl into. Mind you, I ran into the wall when I got up to pee several hours later. Ahh the joys of allergy meds.




Anyhoo, I know meds affect everyone very differently. Heck, Pamprin/Midol (pms meds) make me pass out too! But then again they happen to have antihistamine in them... Has anyone, who might have the same issues as me tried Zyrtec? I hear it is less likely to make you drowsy. I mean, drowsy isn't even the right word for me...but you get the idea...

Ideas, suggestions, think my post is retarded..lol..? COMMENT!

STY over at Twitarded recently posed the question, "Are you.....over it?" It, being Twilight. If you think you are, you probably wouldn't be reading our blog, but if you're feeling a little unsure, watch the video below.

PS...there is a little story behind this vid...I'll try & make it quick..

So the other day I heard the song "Breathe Me" by Sia...and for some reason my mind kept flashing to Robert Pattinson, but I couldn't figure out why. I pulled up YouTube and started frantically searching for what could possibly make me think of him while hearing this song.

Finally, after searching through a few videos on YouTube, I realized it was used in the trailer for Remember Me. DUH! So glad I figured it out, it was driving me nuts! During my frantic search, I stumbled across this amazingly beautiful video.

Truthfully, I have never been "over it." I must admit though, there was a time when I started to feel a bit let down... It was right when Rememer Me hit theaters and they released that crappy ass excuse of a trailer. I walked out of the theater thinking "Oh my gawd, that was so shitty...crap, is there something wrong with me??? No, there is nothing wrong with me, DS has royally f*cked this up, he should have stuck to blood thirsty zombies." Then eventually Summit released some bad boys like these...and all was forgiven.

Similarly to what STY said...I am not as slap-happy-24/7- giddy at the prospect of seeing Eclipse....but I'm pretty freakin' excited. I think it has something to do with it being the 3rd movie, not the 2nd. I feel as though sequels are accompanied by so much more anticipation. We didn't know if New Moon was going to be all we wanted it to bed, but from what we have seen of Eclipse, I'm pretty sure we're going to be more than satisfied.

Will "it" eventually be over? Yeah, once Breaking Dawn part II is released on DVD...sometime in 2012 ;) But even then I'm sure we'll obsess for a little while longer.

Twilight aside...I know I'll never get over this...

Kristen Stewart rocks & Rob strums!? :)

I'm not really a big fan of Elle Magazine. I guess because it's mainly high fashion...and I'm not high fashion. I prefer to read Self, Good Housekeeping & the occasional Glamour. However I purchased Elle the other day for the first time in a LONG time, solely due to the fact that Ms. Kristen Stewart was gracing the cover.

Not only did I want to see the pictures inside, I was really anxious to read the article in it's entirety. If you're a virgin to this issue of Elle, and don't want to see all of the pictures, then you might want to skip through to the very bottom. As for the article itself, it's pretty fascinating, & was done in two parts. The first during the late summer right after she finished filming The Runaways, and the second presumably within the last couple of months from what I can tell. The interview definitely covers Kristen's "palpable" uncomfortableness in the public eye, her films... including the Twilight franchise, her family, as well as a brief question of Team Edward or Team Jacob in real life. Didn't she totally dis a reporter for asking something similar to this during Sundance?! She does go onto say what she's said before, that she doesn't think revealing who she's dating will lighten up the load of questions. The interviewer does note that Kristen had the book version of Bel Ami downloaded onto her Kindle, as if that was some sort of hint. If you're a Kristen fan, or even just curious, I highly recommend purchasing this issue of Elle. If you just want to see the pics, look below.

I found the vid of KStew walking away from a reporter during Sundance. She actually asks Kristen if she's Team Edward in real life. Skip to 20 sec to see Kristen, skip to 1.30 to see the interviewer ask the QUESTION. Personally, I think it's rude. She was there to promote The Runaways, not Eclipse or her personal life.

THE LA TWILIGHT CONVENTION!!!!!!!

Ok, I did it. I bought tix for Saturday! Why Saturday? Because it's the evening ROB & KRIS are going to be there!!! Oh, and Taylor too! (sorry Tay...I'm excited to see you as well!) In all seriousness I knew I wanted to do something Twilight related come June....aside from seeing Eclipse of course. Living in Southern California we are definitely privy to many Twi-tunities ;) LA is a 2 hour drive North of San Diego... because of that, ES & I have been able to see 100 Monkeys at the Viper Room 3 times, as well as participate in the New Moon Premier shenanigans last year. I had mentioned in a previous post "My Turn to Whine with Wine" that I didn't get Jimmy Kimmel tix, wasn't going to go to the Eclipse premiere (because 1 day of waiting on the street for NM was enough), and that we were skipping the 100 Monkeys show at the Roxy because it's all ages and we can't really afford to stay overnight...because of course we'd be drinking. I also mentioned that I really wanted to go to the LA Twi Convention, but that tickets were too expensive...I was waiting to see if they'd release cheaper ones. Oddly enough, I had justified in my head that if they released single day tix, & they were around $30...that I'd buy them....

Fast fwd to this morning...I'm sitting in front of my computer and keep checking the Creation Entertainment site to see if they have added the single day tix (which I knew they would eventually)...I realized I wasn't following them on twitter, so I promptly signed in and followed them...Within mere minutes I see a tweet that they're now selling single day tix. SQUEEEE! I rush over to the site and stop dead in my tracks. Ugh....they're $49 I mumble to myself. Frantically I text ES & she texts back that she doesn't really have the money either, but that she'll figure it out if I really want to go. I then check my gmail, only to find that Dangrdafne has sent me an email informing me that the single day tix were available. That made my heart feel all warm and fuzzy. *muah* Dangrdafne, thank you for thinking of me!

Get to the point right? I have no point! I just sat there grappling with myself back and forth...should I, shouldn't I? Should I? Shouldn't I?

YES Rob, YES, I want you. I'm cumming! I mean, ES & I are coming! I grabbed my c.c. & purchased 2 tix. I thought about waiting around for the unreserved seating tix...but then I just said "F*CK IT." I want to know we have seats.

Then, as if the Rob Gawds were smiling down upon me...my Grandma gave me $20 today, just for fun. That means my ticket was really only $30! And, that's what I'd originally said I'd spend. Love you Gma! xo

Ok I'm sure you're sick of hearing about this by now, I'm just super excited for SAT JUNE 12th, 2010!!! Wonder if they let you have your camera during the panel with Rob, Kris & Tay? Hmmm, might have to sneak it in my bra...lmao!

Bitch Face Bella, Angry Edward and Sore Me.

Not really sure my post has a point today...do they ever? Hmmm.....it's my day off...it's gorgeous out...and I think I'm going to curl up on the couch & watch Twilight. I'm SUPER sore from a SET class (strength endurance training) I took with a friend at 24 hour fitness yesterday morning. I seriously feel like Edward must have felt when Felix slammed him onto the marble floor.

Can't. Move. Dead.

BUT, I'm going to do it again next week. I was looking for something new, as my regular work outs were getting old...and if you haven't noticed, bathing suit season is approaching ;) I was always afraid to try this class on my own, so it was great to go with one of my RL besties who happens to take it once or twice a week herself. If you happen to have a 24 hour membership, I totally recommend trying this class. It's basically a step class, but you use free weights and a barbell to add strength resistance. keep in mind, you can totally go at your own pace, as well as do it w/ super light weights if you're new to working out. Just to get an idea, here's a short clip.

My turn to WHINE w/ WINE.

Why yes, yes I would! In fact I'm drinking Lindemans Pinot Noir ($4.99 on sale, thank you very much!)

Ok, it's my turn to whine. I know that it isn't necessary for me to spew out apologies for my cry-babyness, but I am sorry ahead of time that this post might seem like a BIG FAT DOWNER. I know deep down that my bloggy besties will "get it"...on some level or another, and for that...I love ya.

First things first:

I did NOT get Jimmy Kimmel Tix. Please cue Lykke Li's "Possibility." I knew it was like a 1 in a Twizillion chance, but I really got my hopes up. I seriously feel like I could cry. I wanted it sooo bad. I went to check my account status like I have done every 5 min for the past 4 days...only to see it still said "2 tickets pending" then a big fat "SOLD OUT" next to it. They did say to check back for cancellations, which you better believe I'll do!

If it was just that (lack of JK tix) I might be ok, but it's the culmination of things. As some of you know, I'm a hotel Concierge. I have been for the past 10 years. Last year our whole desk was outsourced. Basically it means another company (very popular 3rd party hotel/flight booking agency) bought the rights to our desk. Although I was able to technically remain a Concierge & transition with them...my pay is quite a bit less. My hourly dropped a couple of dollars, but I kept my chin up with the promise of good commission - this soooo isn't the case. I make quite a bit less, & it's all about selling and a lot less about being a Concierge. As soon as I realized this, I started looking for another job. At first I thought I could be picky...but with the severe demand for jobs nowadays, I wasn't hearing back from anyone. It's been a year now and I still haven't found another job. I know, boo-hoo...at least I have a job...BUT I'm barely scraping by. I am now applying for jobs I'm less interested in, solely for the fact that they pay more.

On top of this, I need a new lap top. As I speak, my screen is floppy and now my keyboard seems to all of a sudden have a thorn up it's ass. My parents and s/o were gracious enough to give me some $$$ to put towards a new lap top for my b-day, but I had to be realistic and put it in my savings account...since that has slowly been drained. Now that I'm passionate about this blog, I fear this "thing" taking a big shit on my head.

Going back to Twi-stuff for a bit...I SOOO want to go to the Twi Convention in LA. Like...bad.
To see these 2.....er.....3 peeps on one stage answering questions would, in my opinion, be mind-blowing.

...But have you seen the ticket prices?!? IF & only IF they release much cheaper tix for Sat evening (when the Twifecta will be there) I'd consider going. Heck, it's only a 2 hour drive North, and I could just drive home the same night..

Speaking of Los Angeles, have I mentioned that 100 Monkeys are playing at The Roxy on May 28th? Yup! But, ES & I aren't' going. It's an all ages show (no offense,) and we figure they're bound to play the Viper Room (21 & up) sometime in June, what with Jackson in town for Eclipse promotions....If we didn't see them, it wouldn't be the end of the world since we have seen them 4 times... but UGH...the shows are sooooooo fun!
